Description

Worm castings are an organic form of fertiliser. It is produced from earthworms; also known as vermicast, worm castings manure is essentially the excretion/waste of earthworms. As these invertebrates eat through compost, their waste creates an optimal soil enricher. Worm castings resemble small rounded particles that improve soil aeration and drainage, as well as increase water retention in the soil.

One of their most interesting features is their level of microbial activity. Castings have a unique combination of helpful enzymes and positive bacterial activity. The positive bacterium from the earthworm digestive system makes its way into the castings and helps stimulate healthy growth for plants.
